This is the actual print of my first cover photo in a national magazine: Mountain Gazette in May 1974. (Markings on back are interesting) Here Roger Schley rests just below what we considered the be the crux move on Cucumbers, Cardinal Pinnacle. Because we could climb it we figured it couldn’t be any harder that 5.8 or 5.9.
