A clan elder (carrying ceremonial, fermented mare's milk) leads young, costumed winners - some who have ridden bareback- after a 20km race at a traditional naadam festival on a remote pass in Arbulag Sum, near Muren in Hovsgol Aimag, Mongolia. The medals on the horses are from earlier races and are a source of great family pride.
